What is Pleural Mesothelioma Lung Cancer?
Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma is form of Lung Cancer that occurs in the pleura (membrane covering the lungs and the inner side of the ribs). Mesothelioma is not a very common Respiratory Disease, but it is increasing gradually.Occurs in men over the age of 40.
Causes of Mesothelioma Lung Cancer:
Asbestos is thought to be the cause. Asbestos is also used in automotive brakes, insulation, cold protection, and in shipbuilding. Therefore, their use must be restricted.
Symptoms of Mesothelioma Lung Cancer:
Mesothelioma cancer grows without symptoms. When it gets older, chest pain, dyspnea may occur, pleural effusion may collect, and joint pain may occur. There is no effective treatment. Early detection consists of regularly receiving chest X-rays and CT scans.
